The Health in Motion mobile medical
unit brings vital health and medical services to underserved areas of
Sarasota County. Health in Motion is staffed by a clerk and
registered nurse who provide outreach to communities lacking access to
health/medical services. Volunteer physicians and nurses also assist
with providing services. Health in Motion also participates in health
fairs, expos and other community events.

▪ Blood pressure and diabetes screening
▪ HIV &
sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing
▪ Pregnancy testing
▪ Tuberculosis
(TB) testing
▪ Adult immunizations
▪ Primary health care
▪ Post-disaster recovery medical care
Some services are free; other services are
offered on a sliding fee scale.
