Environmental Health Services' public water section regulates the systems that provide drinking (potable) water to the general public, whether for a small multi-unit rental or the entire municipal supply.

Wells
Environmental Health Services oversees the construction, operation, and modification of wells in Sarasota County and assists in complaints. A permit obtained by a licensed well water contractor is required to perform this type of operation.
