Health in Motion (our mobile medical unit) brings vital health and
medical services to underserved areas of Sarasota County. Health
in Motion is staffed by a clerk and registered nurse who provide
outreach to communities lacking access to health/medical services.
Volunteer physicians and nurses also assist with providing services.
Health in Motion also participates in health fairs, expos and other
community events.
Services include:
- H1N1 (Swine) Flu vaccinations
- Blood pressure & diabetes screening
- HIV & STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Tuberculosis (TB) testing
- Adult immunizations
- Primary health care
- Disaster-response medical care
Some services are free; other services are offered on a sliding fee
scale.
