This page outlines the process to become an active MRC volunteer.  After fully completing each Part below, you will be eligible for a thank-you award.  If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact us.

Part 1:
Registration

       Register in Florida's statewide volunteer database.

1B. Complete Chapter 110 Volunteer Application Form  [174KB PDF]
       Complete this form for Florida's Department of Health

1C. Complete MRC Application Form  [553KB PDF, Updated 10/25/10]

Part 2:
Online Training

2A. Intro to Incident Command System (IS-100.b)

2B. NIMS - An Introduction (IS-700.a)

2C. MRC Core Competencies course [Nova Southeastern univ.]

Be sure to select "Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Training" under Your Course Information.  (Administered by www.floridamrc.com)

Part 3:
Final Steps

3A. SCHD Orientation - Contact us to schedule an appointment.

3B. Fingerprinting & Background Check

Contact SCHD Human Resources at (941) 861-2820 to schedule an appointment.  This may also be combined with your SCHD Orientation (see 3A) if time permits.
